Grant Parish School Board is pleased to announce that Tonya Normand has been named Secondary Supervisor for Grant Parish Public Schools.

Born and raised in Grant Parish, Mrs. Normand is a graduate of Grant High School. Her roots in the community have helped shape her commitment to education and her passion for serving the students and families of Grant Parish.

Mrs. Normand brings extensive educational leadership experience to her new role. During her career, she has served as a middle school assistant principal, principal, and Head Start Director. She has also worked with the Louisiana Department of Education.

Most recently, Mrs. Normand served as the Literacy Coach at Montgomery High School, where she worked closely with teachers and students to strengthen literacy instruction and support student achievement.

Supporting Students and Educators

Throughout her career, Mrs. Normand has focused on student achievement and strong instructional practices. As Secondary Supervisor, she will work closely with teachers and school leaders to strengthen instructional systems and support student success.

She believes educators need the right resources, support, collaboration, and opportunities for professional growth to be successful in their work with students.

Mrs. Normand is also passionate about preparing students for life beyond high school. She wants every student to have the knowledge, skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to become college- and career-ready.

Serving the Community That Shaped Her

As a Grant Parish native, Mrs. Normand is excited to continue giving back to the community that helped shape her. She looks forward to working alongside students, educators, families, and community members to support the continued growth and success of Grant Parish Public Schools.
