The Grant Parish Special Education Department supports schools, students, and families by coordinating evaluation services, Individualized Education Program support, related services, compliance requirements, and instructional supports for students with disabilities.

Department Support
The Special Education Department works with schools to provide program support, evaluation coordination, related services, and compliance assistance for eligible students.
Evaluation and Eligibility
Coordinates pupil appraisal, educational evaluation, eligibility review, and support for school teams throughout the evaluation process.
Individualized Education Programs
Supports school teams with IEP planning, service coordination, documentation, and implementation for eligible students.
Therapy and Support Services
Coordinates related services including occupational therapy, physical therapy, adapted physical education, preschool support, and speech services.
Early Childhood Services
Supports early childhood special education and itinerant preschool services for eligible students.
Behavior and Student Services
Works with schools to support positive interventions, behavior planning, and appropriate student supports.
Documentation and Reporting
Supports district and school-level special education compliance, required documentation, reporting, and program procedures.
