Students Experiencing Homelessness
Children and youth who are homeless or experiencing housing instability have the right to immediate enrollment in school, even if they are unable to provide the documentation normally required for enrollment. Lack of records, proof of residency, or immunization documentation cannot be used as a reason to delay or deny enrollment.
If you or your family are experiencing homelessness or housing instability, including staying with relatives or friends, living in a shelter, motel, or vehicle, contact the district’s McKinney-Vento Liaison for immediate assistance.
