  • Expert-Designed Learning: We use TSGOLD, a comprehensive assessment system, to understand your child's individual strengths and needs. Both TSGOLD and Creative Curriculum are created by Teaching Strategies, Inc., ensuring seamless alignment and a structured yet playful learning environment.
  • Meeting Your Child's Milestones: Our curriculum is carefully aligned with the Louisiana Standards for 4-year-olds and the Head Start Objectives for Development and Learning. This ensures your child is on track for kindergarten success while fostering essential social, emotional, and cognitive skills.
  • High-Quality Teachers: All our teachers, whether in public schools, Head Starts/Early Head Start, or child care centers, are evaluated using the CLASS system, guaranteeing exceptional teaching practices.
  • Continuous Growth: We believe in supporting our teachers! They receive job-embedded training and professional learning opportunities led by a certified CLASS coach. This ensures they stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices, benefiting your child directly.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide children birth to four expanded access to high quality early childhood care and education to support the diverse needs of children and families in our community in order for children to enter Kindergarten as lifelong learners.

Vision

Building a foundation for lifelong learning

Louisiana’s Early Childhood Education Act was passed by the state legislature in 2012. This act provided for an accountability system for early childhood programs in the state. Early Childhood Care and Education Networks were created throughout the state. In 2014 the Grant Parish Community Network was created. It includes the following entities, Grant Parish School Board, LaSalle Community Action Association Head Starts, Dogwood Learning Academy, and Giggles and Hugs.  We have quarterly meetings with all partners in the network.
